Windows 10: app icons are gone after reinstalling windows

Discus and support app icons are gone after reinstalling windows in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; i have tried deleting the explorer icon cache and it doesn't help anything. it only does it for some apps which makes it even more confusing...     Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    Did not work for me. I troed it 3 times, allways got an error.
