Windows 10: App won't install on Microsoft Store: "Try again later Something happened on our end."

I purchased a game from the Microsoft Store on 7/19, Surviving Mars, but since then I have not been able to install it on my PC.



I keep getting the error "Try again later Something happened on our end."



All other games (free ones) are updating and installing in the Microsoft Store without any problems.



I did notice when the first install was happening it seemed to get stuck then fail mid-download. Since then it never even attempts to download, just fails right away. Also, the MS Gaming Services app was attempting to install at the same time initially and it failed to. It later resumed the install (automatically) and completed, but to be safe, I reset the app via the Apps panel, to no avail.



I’ve tried the following:

1. 1. Rebooting numerious times

2. 2. Waiting

3. 3. Made sure all windows updates have been applied (currently running 1903)

4. 4. Signing out and back in to the store

5. 5. Signing in using a local user account

6. 6. WSRESET

7. 7. SFC /scannow

8. 8. DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

9. 9. Disabling the firewall and anti-virus

10. 10. Ensured Time/Date and Timezone are correct

11. 11. Updating via the store’s ‘Get Updates’button on the ‘Downloads and updates’ page

12. 12. Ensuring SSL 3.0 TLS 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 are checked in the Internet Properties Advanced tab.

13. 13. Renaming the ‘SoftwareDistrobution’ folder in /windows to force a rebuild.

14. 14. Running: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

15. 15. I have 50GB hardisk space available, and the game only requires 10GB, so that shouldn’t be an issue, though I did switch the new app install location to a drive with 600+ GB free and it still failed to install.

16. 16. What ever else I could find on the internet.


Any help would be appreciated.

I am also seeing the issue of

• Are you using a local account or a Microsoft Account to login the PC?
  • If you are using a Microsoft account, then check out ABSwenson's reply on this

• Were there any changes/updates to your device prior to the issue happening?
• What exactly were the troubleshooting steps done in order to resolve the issue?

Try again later. Something happened at our end. Microsoft store

Bought minecraft windows 10 edition for the Oculus touch on the windows store but can't install it and im not sure why.

This has been happening for the last 5 weeks and i've:

• SFC scannow
• Restarted microsoft store apps and microsoft store services
• Deleted microsoft Software distribution folder
• Reset microsoft store app
• Updated windows

Specs just in case:

GTX 1060 6gb

16GB RAM
