Windows 10: Application Error 0xc00000e5

Error text goes something like:


The application was unable to start correctly 0xc00000e5. Click OK to close the application.


It popped up for the apps that normally open at start-up. It blocks NvBackend, DropboxUpdate, Steam, OneDrive, as well as preventing me from opening a host of other apps, ranging from browsers like Chrome or Firefox, to videogames, AVG or AutoShutDown. Basically, a disaster.


I don't know what to make of it, since it behaved as such since powering the PC on. As far as I am aware, there were no updates or installs of new software. My PC shuts down automatically at preset hours, during the night, so I can't be 100% sure that no updates of existing software occurred; all I can say is I had no new software installed.


Similar topics with that error linked the problem to an update or lack of an update of an antivirus software. I have AVG for antivirus duty, and Comodo for firewall duty. While Comodo is one of the rare apps that actually starts, not the same could be said of AVG. While restarting the PC in safe mode allows me to use all apps, I can't update them or disable them to identify the bad guy from the pack.


I am not sure where to look for a problem, in order to apply an existing solution. But I'd rather I didn't have to resort to the almighty "perform a clean boot".

Application Error 0xc00000e5

I have a problem with removing.

At the end of uninstall, i got an error with: "The windows Installer Service could not be accessed"

I can't do something, cuz' my every application had 0xc00000e5 error.

This problem is coming after i install comodo...

I can no longer run *.exe programs or any I have tried anyhow Quicken, word, etc. I get application error 0xc00000e5. If I run in safe mode it allows me to run the program but not in selective mode. Any help would be appreciated. I've tried DISM and
sfc without any luck.
