Application MikuMikuDance has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware. How do I fix this?

Okay, so I used this program called MikuMikuDance. It's a free 3D animation software that is used to make videos and pictures. I've been using it for years now and have never had it blocked from my graphics driver before. But when I attempted to update my version of Windows which is a whole separate problem, as it just gets stuck at 99% and then never updates and I'm forced to manually shut down my laptop or it never leaves the 99% updated screen and has been an issue for a year now I've been met with an error whenever I try to load effects in this program ie: lighting or shading effects that says it failed to load the effect and then the program freezes. Then, I get a windows notification saying that it has blocked the program from accessing the graphics driver and I'm forced to close MikuMikuDance via task manager if it hasn't crashed on it's own.

I looked online for answers and found this thread here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ikudance/e7e70892-632e-4308-ae9b-2321ede7d4c7

I tried to follow the steps given in attempt to fix this problem, but it only caused more issues than I originally had. I restarted the graphics driver, but that didn't fix the problem. I moved on to the second fix option listed, which was to go into Device Manager and see if the rollback option was available for the graphics driver, which it wasn't. I continued to follow instructions and do the next step, which was to delete and reinstall the driver. I followed the instructions exactly and this was where I ran into even more issues. After I finished the restart step and was following the further steps Start -> Settings -> Update & security I went back into device manager and checked that before attempting to update my laptop. The graphics driver was still deleted, so I continued on and went to update my laptop as the instructions said to do, though I had a knot in my stomach given the issues I've been having with updating Windows as is. I waited for hours to let it update only for it to get stuck 85% completion. I waited for three hours and it STILL was at 85% completion and showed no signs of going further. So I manually shut off the laptop, restarted it, and reset it to the most recent restore point made on 4/12/2020. I must add that before putting it back to this restore point, I also was no longer able to adjust my screen brightness after deleting the driver and restarting as instructed. It was set to 100% brightness and no matter how many times I tried to use the brightness buttons on the keyboard, I could not get it to adjust to a lower percentage.

Now that I've gotten my laptop reset, I can adjust the brightness as normal but MikuMikuDance is still being blocked from the graphics driver, preventing me from making further animations. Before resetting, I also did follow the link to the Intel website and searched for my laptop's drivers but it only came up with the following:

I am not familiar with the third option and did not mess with it, but I tried both Intel Processor applications and neither of them did anything to fix the problem, either. I'm now at a loss of what I can do to fix this issue, as it's preventing me from fur thing any animations.

My laptop is an HP Flyer Red with an Intel Pentium N3540 Processor, 15.6" diagonal HD display, 4GB system memory, 500GB hard drive. The graphics drive is IntelR HD Graphics.

    :)

    Graphics Hardware keeps blocking MikuMikuDance

Okay, so I have this problem where my laptop keeps blocking this one program I use and sometimes even my sims game from accessing the Graphics hardware. It's supper irritating because I've tried everything I could to fix it, but nothing worked.

I would open up MikuMikuDance, load in the model, open up the MikuMikuEffect log before it would give me an error before shutting down. Afterwards, I would receive a notification saying "Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware".

It has never done this in the past before, is there a way to fix this or do I have to get a new computer?

Is it just my drivers or something else affecting it?

Also, occasionally my screen will suddenly blackout then come back on, why is it doing that?

Application Blocked from accessing Graphic Hardware

Recently I've been experiencing the app blocked from accessing graphic hardware issue with a specific game I play a fair amount. The game seems to work but upon initial starting I would get clear audio but bad or no visuals forcing me to restart the game
manually by shutting it down from the task manager. I have discovered a simple fix to this problem though, and it lies in the graphics settings for your display.

To fix the issue I've been having I searched up and opened my computer's Events Log, to examine where the error was occurring and get an accurate description. (It gave the same message as the notification, this step may be negligible)….

The next step in my process was to access my computer's system settings (for windows 10 the primary settings for your computer)

Going there, select the display settings and look for a link text that says "Graphics Settings"

Upon clicking on this, you will be presented with a graphics performance preference text and a drop down box that gives the options for a Classic Application or a Universal Application. I didn't fiddle with this at all but there is a browse button below that.

Clicking this browse button I was able to select the application that was being blocked and I set it to always run in high performance mode. thus fixing my issue once I restarted the game in question.

For reference I run an XPS 8930 with an Intel(R) Core i5-8400 CPU with 64 bit Windows 10 and an AMD RX 560 graphics card.

I don't know if this will help anyone else, but a colleague of mine suggested I post my solution to the forums to help others experiencing the same issue.
