Windows 10: Apprentice here - need help troubleshooting

Hi everyone,

I’m really sorry if this isn’t the best place to come for this kind of query.

I’m doing an IT support apprenticeship that requires an area that’s not regular in my role. I’m not massively IT support at the workplace, nor do I support users with their machines. We mostly do coding and background support on servers/software but the apprenticeship I’m currently doing is fitting for my role. However, the apprenticeship has a section I need to cover (with 6 minimum examples) of me troubleshooting issues with users’ systems. I very rarely do anything on a users system, and if I do, it’s usually a software install.

I would like some help with examples, if possible! We use windows 10 universally so if there’s any way I can break something just to easily fix it let me know!

It can literally be any form of normal support a user may need, but I’m going to have to do all of the damages to my own machine just to fix it

They seem rather convinced that I need to include uses of ‘ipconfig’ and other kinds of diagnostic commands in that prompt.

Any ideas are welcomed!

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):
