Windows 10: Apps Mail and Personen

I use the Mail App in order to read my Mails: I have an MS Outlook and Telenet (from Belgium) mail account.
Everything works just fine.
In order to have a list of my mail addresses I use the App Personen (Persons in English I suppose).
That works fine as well.
But when I create a new mail or receive a mail I don't see the picture I inserted in the app Personen.
I see a circle with the initials of the mail addressee.
In Instellingen (Settings in English) the setting: "display pictures of senders" is on.
but I see under that setting a statement : "this setting cannont be applied to any of your acconts."

Is this a normal behavior and what can I do to remedy this?
I use Windows 10 version 1909 Home Edition (English version)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!
