Windows 10: AppvlsvSubsystems64..dll missing

I had to have a new hard drive installed on my computer which I picked up my laptop yesterday. This morning I reinstalled My Office & now I'm trying to open a Word document. I am getting this WINWORD.EXE -System Error The code execution cannot proceed because AppVlsvSubsystems64.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. I did reinstall My Office which didn't fix the problem.


I followed the instructions given to another user. Here are instructions:

b) Click Start, click Run, type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER, and then click OK. Even if you do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs, or you may briefly see an hourglass. After you run this command, the operation is complete.


I only get as far as step a) no dialog box appear to continue to step b). What am I doing wrong?

error message missing AppvlsvSubsystems64..dll

None of the options worked. I still get the same error message w.hen I try to install the new software. Is there a place I can get AppVlsvSubsystems64.dll and add it to my computer?

How to reinstall AppVlsvSubsystems64.dll?

Every time I go to open a picture in File Explorer by double clicking on it, I get a notification saying 'The code execution cannot proceed because AppVlsvSubsystems64.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.' So how do I fix this
and reinstall the program?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

DLL Missing

I actually posted the link for the "list of troubleshooting steps to resolve your boost_threads.dll problems" which is located half way down the page. I did not mean to promote any downloads.

Why don't I just go back and indicate that on my original post? That way there's access to the 'step-by-step' instructions, which are accessed via those green 'plus' signs next to the topics.
