Windows 10: Aptio Setup Utility seemingly frozen

So I restarted my computer last night to update some drivers, and it booted into the Aptio Setup Utility, with the following message:“WARNING! System firmware is being updated.Keyboard is locked.DO NOT TURN THE POWER OFF!!!Once firmware update is completedSystem will be automatically rebooted”I figured I could just go to bed and let it do its thing and it’d be set to go when I came back downstairs, but it’s since been 13 hours and it’s still stuck there. The status bar says “Update OEM EC Block” and reads at 100%. Since the keyboard is locked I can’t just press escape to exit, and holding the

Stuck in the Aptio Setup Utility

I got the setup utility on startup and i tried following this instructions:

• Select the Boot menu in the Aptio setup utility, select 'Launch CSM' and change to enable.
• Select the Security menu n the Aptio setup utility, select 'secure Boot Control' and change to disable.
• Select Save & Exit and press 'yes'.
• Hold down the power button until the unit switches power off completely.
• Switch back on and continually press the F9 button for about ten seconds; this should now allow the unit to boot up into the Windows Recovery menu.
• Select 'Advanced Start Up' and wait until the recovery menu appears.
• Select ' Advanced Options'.
• Select 'System Restore' and select a date prior to when the problem occurred.

(but I wasn't able to do step #5-8)

Aptio Setup Utility issue

The Aptio Setup Utility is often associated with the BIOS for ASUS computers. The first thing I'd check is the CMOS battery. However, there are other causes as well. Here is an article that may address your issue if it's not the battery:
