Windows 10: ArcSoft Webcam companion not found in windows 10

I have a Sony Vaio All-in-One PC. VPCL231FX. I upgraded to windows 10 from Windows 7 Home Premium. Now the Webcam doesn't work. I believe the audio works. I have Arcsoft Webcam Companion 4 and Arcsoft Webcam Companion 4 Monitor Mode. I also installed Webcam
Picture Taker and none of them will work. Is there a patch I can download? Thank you!

 

Arcsoft Web companion 4 not supported after upgrade to windows 10

I have sony vaio E series VPCEH35EN. my Arcsoft web companion 4 not capture image , also green light camera indication but not capture image. This problem appear after upgrading windows 7 to windows 10.before that it is working properly.

VAIO Webcam stopped working Windows 10 - FIX!!!

Found the answer to this but not able to post replies to existing questions about the same thing. This probably also applies to other laptop manufacturers as it's not actually a problem with Sony machines per se, it's a Windows 10 thing ...

1. Open Privacy Settings
2. Select 'Camera' from the App Permissions.
3. Check that 'Camera access for this device is on'
4. By default 'Allow apps to access your camera' is off. Turn it on
5. Arcsoft Web Companion 4 is not in the list of applications, but should now work. (did for me). Also works in Skype.

(Microsoft - you may want to publish this a bit more widely as the web is full of complaints about webcams stopped working following Win 10 installation)
