Are you charged for an app as soon as a Free Trial is over?

I downloaded a free trial of Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 through the Microsoft Store. Will I automatically be charged for the app once the trial is over or will the app just become unavailable?

    Thanks!

    :)

  2. Marketplace thinks app is installed, when it isn't (and so I cannot re-install)

Hi Beatriz, and thankyou for your response. Actually, it does not answer the problem, unfortunately.

I cannot follow the step you suggest ('uninstall the free trial') because the app (neither the free trial nor the paid app) does not appear on my application list.

If I search for the app on marketplace, it won't let me install it (free trial or paid app) because it says that it is already installed. But because it does not show up on my app list, I cannot uninstall it.

It looks like the only answer is a hard reset and restore to factory settings. This is not a good answer really!

    Thanks for the suggestion though.

Purchased but still a trial app

    Hi,

I really love the Marathon app. I've used the trial a while but when I purchased the app it downloaded, charged my credit card but still says trial when I run it.

Tried a reboot but no luck.

    Why?

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Are you charged for an app as soon as a Free Trial is over? :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
