Windows 10: Ark: Survival Evolved / Non-Dedicated Tether Distance

Hey folks,


I know: it's ridiculous that I have to post this here again... But hey, since Microsoft decided to encrypt all their game files, and even preventing US Users to access certain App folders on OUR own systems, on OS and Games that we paid for, it is definitly necessary to post this, over and over again, with the hope that eventually something will change...


Before anything else: If I weren't dependent on crossplay, I would've shown the microsoft store version of this game my back long time ago and change to the steam version. We 2 Players, sometimes 3 play on a non-dedicated server, which is hosted on my Windows 10 Computer. Friends are joining from XBOX one X and XBOX Series X. All devices run at the same place, so over my Router with LAN.


Why the Hell is it still not possible to get more than 420m distance to the host for the joining players? I am running an i9 10900KF, RTX2070S and 64GB Memory. There should at least be an option for people who know what they're doing, and have stronger systems... It is so annoying. As we are busy working people, we only have time about 1 day a week to play, so renting a server is not an option. I tried changing to a hosted dedicated server on my second PC to get rid of the Tether Distance limit, but yeah, you need to run a second PC, and on top of that you don't have an option to get your single player save non-Dedicated to this server.... No, I don't have to contact Wildcard for this problem, because all the above, including changes to tether distance limit, is possible in Steam Version. Why? Because they don't encrypt their game files for preventing users to change anything there. Microsoft, please stop acting like Apple, restricting users "for their own safety".


Any possibilities here that I've missed?

ARK: Survival Evolved available on store:

1. Xbox One Enhanced.
   

This particular version is only available on Xbox One. ARK:
Survival Evolved Xbox

1. Xbox Play Anywhere.
   

This version can be downloaded on Xbox as well as Windows PC. ARK: Survival
Evolved Anywhere.



Could you please confirm which of the above versions of ARK: Survival Evolved have you purchased?

Ark Survival Evolved

So on my Xbox One the update on Ark Survival Evolved says 793.36 but on the Microsoft Store Ark Survival Evolved it says 793.16, they are both updated but it stops me playing cross play, any reason why they aren't on the same update? Edit: So the game
updated but it is only 793.34 so I still can't cross play.
