Windows 10: Asking about file thumbnail loading in 1709

Every day after I opened my system and sometimes rebooted it, I found this happening

in old versions like 1511, 1607 & 1703
I set it for 1 time only and also each time i reopening any folder i don't found that loading

Hi,

I'd like to ask about one thumbnail file in my Nokia 500. The capacity of mass storage in this phone is about 1.6GB but almost half (750 MB) of it is stolen by the thumbnail file

private/10281e17/[102830AB]thumbnail_v4 .

So I removed this file and phone worked correctly (probably this file is not so important). But after a while the thumbnail file was created again and the phone memory was full.

What is this file good for?

Is it possible to change some phone settings (or some application) not to create this file?

Windows crashes while loading video thumbnails

i have deleted those video files but that videos was playing well in windows 8 and also thumbnails loaded very quickly in windows 8,there is a problem with windows 10 it takes too much time in loading thumbnails.

 

So, what's the problem?

 

The problem is every time i navigate to any folder contains Mp4 videos or JPEG images, I must waiting for loading files in the folder, but in old versions like 1511 1607 1703 only the loading happening for 1 time

 

Thumbnail cache cleared automatically windows 10
Every day or two, my (quite large) thumbnail cache apparently deletes itself. I have to wait for all my folders to reconstruct the thumbnails, which takes quite a long time. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

 

That's good question, I find it annoying even with very fast M.2 SSD it takes several seconds to update all icons. On secondary HDDs much longer. Must be some setting in maintenance.

 

It sounds like something is running disk cleanup.

No change after a restart.

 

If you are using a System Cleaner (e.g. CCleaner) make sure it isn't set to clean the Thumbnail Cache.
