Hi Microsoft Community, I am reaching out for assistance regarding unusual activity on my Microsoft account, which I have noticed in my recent activity log. Despite not using a VPN service, I am seeing many repeated unsuccessful sign-in attempts from many locations globally. . These include places I have no connection to, such as the United States, Germany, Spain, France, Indonesia, Russia and Iran, with incorrect password entries cited as the reason for unsuccessful sign-ins. These hacking attempts are very common. Since they've been unsuccessful attempts you shouldn't worry very much about them. But you should make sure that you're using a strong password or have setup Two step verification.

if you are seeing multiple unsuccessful sign in attempts on your account from locations you do not recognize, then they are attempts to hack your account, it is not actually a person, it is a bot trying to access your account.

If you have set a long and secure password on your Microsoft Account and you have 3FA enabled on your Microsoft Account, then their attempts to access your account will not succeed, there is nothing you can do to stop them trying to hack your account, but you have no need to worry and they will eventually move on and try to hack someone else's account.
