Windows 10: Assistance required to isolate issue with power cord and booting to Windows.

I have a MSI Pulse GL66 laptop. I've had issues before where if I unplug the power cord from my laptop while the laptop is on, it blue screens. Sometimes, just picking up the laptop up in the air and moving it while plugged it causes it to blue screen perhaps due to the power cord plug rotating in the laptops power port?. Usually I can just reboot, it throws me into the bios settings, I just reboot again and it works. This time after getting thrown into the bios setting and attempting to reboot it put me to a blue screen Not BSoD, but blue screen with options to attempt different soluti

I just like to isolate this issue that you're having right now with your power cord. When did you start having this issue? Did you make any changes to your device before getting this issue? Have you tried to move or fiddle the cord around on the port side?
There's a possibility that it got loose or what not. You may also try to plug the power cord first before turning on the device and see if the issue persists. Normally, we suggest our customers to contact the device manufacturer for assistance in case they're
having issues like this.

Question about power/current in monitor cords?

List the full ID on the cables and I can look if they're certified or not. I know Insignia is on the cert list. By the way, how do you know or measure that there is power delivery when the computer is off? The PSU can still give power to the motherboard even if the computer is off, it's quite common. If there's still power when the power cord is out then something is wrong. I heard recently from a user that they had a similar issue and that the DP cable delivered power even when the power cord was out. This was because his cable was bad. DP cables specifically can carry 3.3v on the 20th pin, but if it's isolated and the cable is certified then it shouln't cause a problem.

We would like to know more about the issue. Did you make any software or hardware changes to the computer? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?

If you haven't done so yet, we suggest that you try to follow the steps provided below:

• Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10, click this
  link.
• Try a cold boot. Shut down your device, remove power cord and battery (if available) and wait for about 20 seconds. Then connect battery and power cord and try booting again.
