  1. Assistance Upgrading from 1803 to 1809 for windows 10

Hello I just got my old comp out the closet, and it's out of date for what version of windows 10 its at. Windows update doesn't have upgrade your pc links, so I have to download from the web.

I didn't like the newest version of windows 10 this is why I'm wanting 1809.

Yeah I'm one of those users that reverted back after a minute, or a few using the newest version.

The assistant tool never works for me.

    :)

  2. Unable to upgrade from Windows 10 1803 to 1809 using Update Assistant

I am trying to upgrade build 17134.441 to 1809 using the Update Assistant. The downloading and installing goes fine, then I get the restart countdown of 30 minutes during which I restart and then I get a screen saying, upgrade 'Your PC will restart several
    times.'

It all looks fine till here, but as soon as the progress reaches to 15% on this screen, the system reboots once, I see the bootloader logo and then after about 5-10 seconds the system reboots again.

At this time, I see Undoing changes made to your computer and I'm back on the 1803. I have tried clearing the update assistant cache, my updates are working fine because I keep getting cumulative updates for 1803 from the Updates in settings, I tried upgrading
from 1803 to 1809 several times and I always see this happening at 15% progress.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Upgrade 1803 -> 1809 Failed & No Longer Available

    Hello

I'm looking for a bit of help. I'm trying to upgrade my Windows 10 however the installation keeps failing. Current version is 1803 and trying to go to 1809. When the install reaches 42% the PC locks up and I have to restart, causing it to roll back to 1803.
After a few attempts the updates says everything is up-to-date, however the PC is still at 1803.

Looking around on various places there's a few things I've tried:

    • Removing antivirus + malware (Avira + Malwarebytes).
    • Unplugging all non-essential USB devices.
    • Updated GFX drivers to latest.
    • Ran the Windows Update Assistant.
All sadly to no avail. Thoughts? I can provide logs if needed (although please advise which ones are required and how to locate them)

    Regards,

Assistance Upgrading from 1803 to 1809 for windows 10

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
