  1. ASUS Computers with Windows 10 running sometimes will think it's new

After many years of being installed and with Windows 10 running, sometimes when booting up i get the ASUS start screen, wanting me to post all information and log on to my Wifi.

I am already logged on to my Wifi and have been for years, i found it on both my ASUS Computers i have two older G73s, could it be an item with a signal from my Wifi?

I found by holding down the shift key during start up it will then boot direct to Windows 10.

These are old ASUS Computers and many times have problems with a reboot needed, but they always keep working.

    Any thoughts about my problem?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Asus P8Z68 Deluxe Compatibility with Windows 10

The Asus support page lists Win 10 X64. Other than Realtek audio drivers, none are offered. That suggests that most of the necessary drivers are included in the Windows installation or through Windows Update.

I think it should work just fine.

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond ASUS Computers with Windows 10 running sometimes will think it's new :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
