    Asus x205t laptop constantly freezes after factory reset


    I have an asus x205t laptop. I was having difficulty removing an antivirus program that was starting to act in a somewhat...sketchy manner.


    I tried to perform a factory reset, remove all the non essential programs. During the process of doing said reset, it requested a bitlocker key (literally the first time I have ever heard of such a thing) so I did my research and found mine....there were two different ones and I didn't know which was which so I just randomly picked one. The laptop finished installing windows (it did request the bitlocker key one more time during the install) and did all the updating for windows 10.


    When it was finally done, it had stopped registering it had speakers at all. I updated the audio driver and that seemed to fix it. What didn't get fixed though is that now my laptop freezes up every few minutes, usually bad enough that I have to turn it off by holding down the power key.


    I have no idea what to do with it now and it's long past the warranty expiring. Please, any ideas are welcome! I tried in include all of what happened as best I could...Only other thing I can think to include is that its a 32bit version of windows 10.

    Asus Laptop Freezes Factory Reset

    So I'm trying to Factory Reset my Asus laptop and while it prepares for a total reset it freezes and I've tried restarting the laptop and trying again but it freezes this is on Windows 10

    Asus Laptop W10 factory reset, Don't have password

    I recently bought a used asus model e402s on craigslist and it came with the old guys details on it. Ive tried to contact him but he wont respond. I just need to factory reset it. So my problems are:

    • I dont have the password
    • I cant do a factory reset from logging in because i dont have the password
    • The laptop doesnt have a cd drive
    • im not a computer tech! lol

    TL;DR I need to reset the laptop to factory setting without a password. W10.
