ASUSLinkRemote\AsusLinkRemoteAgent.exe preventing laptop from automatically entering sleep

My laptop has not been automatically going to sleep after several minutes if not hours of idling for the past few weeks. I went into the control panel and adjusted all of the minutes, checked that everything was set to automatically go to sleep, but still nothing. As a last ditch effort, I ran powercfg /energy in the command window to pull up an energy report. The report showed these results:

    Errors
    System Availability Requests:System Required Request
The program has made a request to prevent the system from automatically entering sleep.

Any suggestions on what to do next? I don't remember downloading AsusLinkRemote and am wondering if I can just uninstall it from my laptop without consequences or if there's something else I need to do.

  3. Laptop does not enter sleep mode

    Hi,

My laptop is fully updated and running on windows 10. Recently my laptop does not enter sleep mode after the set time it is supposed to enter sleep mode, also the laptop starts up automatically when in sleep mode with the lid closed.

Do any of you have any idea what the cause might be and how to fix this problem?

I ran a power efficiency diagnostics report with the following errors:

Platform Power Management CapabilitiesASUSLinkRemote\AsusLinkRemoteAgent.exe preventing laptop from automatically entering sleep :pCI Express Active-State Power Management (ASPM) Disabled

USB Suspend:USB Device not Entering Selective Suspend

    System Availability Requests:System Required Request

Are any of these errors preventing my laptop from entering sleep mode?

Thanks in advanced for your help and advice.

    Chris
