    Attempt to update Windows 10 via ISO fails: "Windows 10 update failed"


    Having been prompted by Microsoft to update my pc, my initial attempt to do so failed with error Oxc1420121. I then followed a recommendation from this forum to upgrade by downloading the ISO and then performing an offline upgrade. Although that ran quite awhile and seemed to be headed towards a successful conclusion it eventually stopped with the message noted above. Any suggestions? Thank you.

    Windows Updates failed to instal

    I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

    You could try the Windows Update troubleshooter. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/open-the-windows-update-troubleshooter
