In regards to your answer to the question I posted......Hi Bill.... thank you so very much for your help and response. I have a few questions.... so I wouldn't be able to use the recovery, the first option, because my system is not working at all correct? And that recovery is for Windows 8 and not 8.1 so I wouldn't use that correct? Is creating a recovery image and creating an ISO file the same thing? If not which would you recommend that I use?When I create the installation media do I download that to my computer and then send it to the flash drive? do I place it on the same flash drive

Will an updated Gateway NV55C bios from 11-13-2012 allow me to upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10? TY

I bought my laptop in 2011, and it has bios only, not the newer UEFI, so I probably cannot upgrade to Win 10, but I will try, understanding it may not work properly.
