Windows 10: Audacity on my laptop does not recognise the lead from a minidiscplayer

Discus and support Audacity on my laptop does not recognise the lead from a minidiscplayer in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I have connected a minidisc player to my laptop running Windows 10 to transfer music and digitise it..     Audacity on my laptop does not recognise the lead from a minidiscplayer


    I have connected a minidisc player to my laptop running Windows 10 to transfer music and digitise it.. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not seem to recognise the input. I cannot see anything on the Audacity program or panel to indicate the connection. Any ideas?
