    Around a week and a half ago Audio on my PC stopped working completely, the only reason this would happen would be because as i was setting up my PC again, i didnt plug in the LAN cable as i was just checking if it booted another person's home, The router was in a way different place, didn't want to bother moving things in their house just for that and that's when Windows decided it was the perfect time to update, without any internet, and it didnt show the fact it needed to update before i packed it up originally. Obviously the Update failed, and my Windows booted, everything is working fin

    If updating the driver didn't work, kindly follow the steps on how to uninstallyour audio driver:

    • Right-click on the Start button and click on Device Manager.
    • Right-click (or tap and hold) the audio driverand select
      Uninstall.
    • Restart your device and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

    AUDIO SERVICE NOT WORKING.

    Hi,

    In that case, I suggest you follow below.

    Step 1:

    In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

    Step 2:

    Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

    Step 3:

    Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

    Step 4:

    You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

    Step 5:

    Restart PC

    Let me know the results after performing the above.
