Audio in speakers goes silent after few seconds

    Hello

im using my new Hp Pavilion 15 CW1008LA Ryzen 7 / Windows 10 64 Bit - laptop for less then 2 months and for some reason the audio in my speakers is really low.

If i turn on any Movie, game, YouTube the audio is normal but after few seconds is turning silent and you can barely hear any sound.

when i use my headphones the audio is great and there isnt any problem.

the only issue is with the laptop speakers.

I have tried to reinstall the audio drivers but nothing has solved my situation.

I hope somebody knows what is the issue im talking about

    :)

    Some speakers are silent

Just a stab in the dark suggestion but you may be missing a codec that is applicable to your speaker configuration.

You can try and download the K-Lite Codec pack which has an option to define your speaker configuration:

    Download K-Lite Codec Pack
Note: I just use the standard pack which come with the Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPC-HC)

Note: these options are available during a custom installation of the codec pack and are also available in the Codec Tweak Tool after installation.

Again, just an uneducated guess on my part.

    Good luck,

    No Audio with speakers

    Vijay:

Went through all the steps including reinstalling the drivers and did not need to make any changes.

After restart the audio returned for about 2 minutes on a YOUTUBE video and then went silent. Tried additional video and no audio.

Don't know if related but SOUNDS is still not present when right click on speaker symbol in taskbar, the other four entries are there.

Audio in speakers goes silent after few seconds

    HMDI interrrupts (web) audio

What you can do is you can switch the audio output to your laptop whenever you attach the second display. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Connect your computer to the second display.
    • On the lower right corner of the screen, right click the speaker icon.
    • Choose Open volume mixer.
    • Under Device, click the name of the device. The name of the device is under the icon picture.
    • Choose the speaker of your laptop.
    • Check if the sound will come out to the laptop's speaker.
Let us know how it goes after you perform the steps above.
