Windows 10: Audio is not working at all

Basically, my audio systems aren't working at all, none of the windows systems play any audio whatsoever. When I go into the sound menu, the audio devices don't even register as playing sound despite me doing things that would cause them to. I know this isn't an issue with my speakers/headphones because windows would register it as playing audio if that was the case. I've already tried uninstalling the devices and that didn't work. I know it isn't something to do with audio enhancements because I've tried turning them on and off, and they should only affect a singular audio device. Curiously,

AUDIO SERVICE NOT WORKING.

Hi,

In that case, I suggest you follow below.

Step 1:

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Step 2:

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Step 3:

Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 4:

You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

Step 5:

Restart PC

Can not record audio.

• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.
