    Audio issue after updating Windows

    Hello,

I have a HP Probook 650G1 and about two weeks ago, I did a complete new installation of Windows 10 after having replaced my old hard disk with a new 500gb SSD. Unfortunately, I now have some problems with audio, the max output level of speakers is quite low. I cannot hear the audio of films without using earphones.

Before the new installation of Windows, even with the new SSD, the audio was good and I had no need to use earphones.

I've tried of coarse to update the audio driver in the HP site and also by using HP softpaq download manager.

I've then tried to use the windows tool to update/remove the driver and I've found in the notebook two driver: "IDT High definition audio" and the "High definition audio".

When I install "High definition audio" driver I have no error, the installation go straight until the end but, as I said, the maximum output level is too low.

Installing instead "IDT high definition audio codec" gives me an error at the end of installation, even if then the audio works... but with the same level issue of the other driver.

I've tried also another software to update drivers but with no results.

Now I'm with IDT high definition audio codec 10.0.17134.319.

    Windows 10 Pro 1803 build 17134.472

Is there something I can do to fix this issue ?

    Regards,

    Mastro

    :)
