Windows 10: Audio issue on PC

    Audio issue on PC


    My PC running windows 10 has recently appeared to have an audio issue in which the audio stops every like 2 seconds when something is playing. Specifically, it shoes a red X instead of the curved lines next to the audio symbol when it happens. I have checked the speakers and it has nothing to do with them or their positions. It only happens when something is playing and it comes back many many times in within seconds. Any guesses or tips about the problem ??

    • What troubleshooting steps have you performed to fix the issue?

    • What is the make and model of the computer?


    I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps listed in the articles listed below:



    If you’re facing sound issues on Envy 24 monitor speakers, you may try the steps listed in
    HP Flat Panel Monitors - Troubleshooting Sound Problems with Monitor Speakers



    If the issue persists, you may update the chipset drivers for your PC and check if it works.
