Windows 10: Audio issues when doing Speedtest in Win 10 Pro x64 1809

Hello,


After last update I'm experienced audio issues on my Latitude laptop (i54300M,4gb of RAM, 256gb SSD) running win 10 pro x64, 1809 update.

Don't know the cause but everytime I'm running a speedtest, no matter is from Chrom, IE, or Microsoft app, I'm having some interuption in any sound that I play (no matter it's from Youtube, or from local SSD in winamp).

Does anyone experienced the same problem ?

What should I do ?

Thank you for the excellent suggestion to upgrade Windows 10 to the 1809 version.
This operation appears to require more time than I can give it at the moment, but I will attempt it at some point.

In the meanwhile, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Speedtest App, but to no avail.
Then I tried to contact Ookla / Speedtest—not an easy thing to do.
(I am neither a Twitter nor a Facebook user. Yes, I know, it’s shocking.)

Audio Issues and Windows 10

I uninstalled the audio driver for the speakers. Now when I look at the Device Manager list under "Audio Inputs and Outputs" the Speaker is missing (it lists the other 3, headphones/line in/microphone). When I did Restart, it had no effect on the list.

How do I get the Audio Manager list back to where it was before? I have a HP DC5800 desktop; it was running win 7 64bit until I upgraded to win 10.

Method1: I suggest you to run an audio troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons

• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel

• Run the playing Audio troubleshooter.



Method2: Uncheck the enhancement feature in sound options.

• Press X from the key board and select control panel.
• Select sounds under control panel.
• Go to advance setting and uncheck the enhancement feature and check if that helps.
