  1. Audio issues - windows 10

This one is pretty difficult to explain. I have some really old Bose companion 5 speakers, in which the control module is broken, so i can't adjust volume (it is stuck on the max allowed by the controller) or turn them to sleep mode, and the headphones i use are the Bose OE (Over-ear) sound link which are not broken.

I recently built my first PC, moving from and old mac book. So far the windows experience has been pretty good, but i have been having a few issues with the audio. The first is If i start a program using one audio input, for example my speakers, and i want to change to headphones, i cant without closing the application and re-opening it, which as you can imagine is quite annoying. I haven't found any solutions for this so far.

Another issue is that i can only listen to one applications audio at a time. If want to use discord and play a game at the same time, i cant have game audio. The only way i can fix this is by changing the audio input from Headphones (Bose OE sound link) to Headset (Bose OE sound link Hands-free AG audio), but this give me really crappy audio quality compared to the Headphones input.

Final issue is the headset option is also the only way I can use the built in mic. is there a way to use the mic on the headphones mode?

Any help or solutions are greatly appreciated
