Windows 10: Audio not working

I've encountered a serious problem with my legion laptop, I booted it up last night and I was getting no audio. I looked over at the bottom right and there was a red cross on the speaker icon.

When I try to troubleshoot it says that it cannot be resolved and that 1 of 2 services is not working (something and windows audio iirc) i found out the service that was not working was called windows audio so I decided to manually restart or activate it but it would not respond. I then update all my drivers from my manufacturer and still it didnt work.

I spent an entire night trying to fix the issue and I think I probably went through all the commonly used solutions with no results so I ended up resorting to backing up my files and formatting my laptop but even then I encountered an issue that doesn't let me format my laptop. Evertime I try it would reach about 13% and stop and say something along the lines of "reset failed, no changes have been made"

As for what could have caused it I'm not quite sure, my brother has said that before this happened he noticed other issues before this occurred. I have slight suspicion about a game called valorant which I downloaded and recently heard has some sketchy anti cheat software.

Please someone halp meee.
