  1. Audio problems after Windows 10 December update

Ever since the newest Windows update I've experienced echoing audio through all my different speakers and headsets. My headphone/Mic combo also seems to have an undetectable mic. Is there anyone else that has experienced any of these problems?

I've checked the hardware on other devices and had no problems

I've reinstalled all the audio driver software through the device manager

I've disabled all sound effects in the enhancements tab of my main audio device

If anyone has any ideas i would be happy to try them

    :)

Windows update & Audio Problem in Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum!

What problems are you facing with windows update in windows 10 home?

Specify the problem you are facing in audio drivers?

In the Windows 10 you have no choice to change the automatic update settings. Because the change settings option is disabled.

    Method 1: Hardware Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
    • Run the playing Audio troubleshooter
    Method 2.

Try updating the Audio drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the audio drivers:

    a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

    b. Expand the Sound, Video and game controllers.

    c. Right-click on the Sound card and click on Update driver software.

    d. Restart the computer and check.

Reply with necessary information and I’ll be happy to help you further

    Thanks.
