Windows 10: audiodg.exe

I have looked at every audiodg error fixes on 10-15 websites. About 95% talk about high CPU usage and how to repair. The others, I'm not real sure about.

This is the only thing that makes sense to me. Installation Successful: Windows successfully installed the following update: 9NBLGGH537C2-Microsoft.XboxGameOverlay on 08/30/2018 at 8:19 a.m. and Faulting Application Path: C:\Windows\System32\audiodg.exe at either a cold or warm boot. Before that no audiodg errors since 06/22/2018 when a clean image restore was done

I don't use Xbox but some setting is causing the faulting application since the game overlay is now kicking an error.


HP laptop 15-bw0xx AMD 2.7 GHz processor 4 cores 12 GB RAM 64 bit processor

Windows 10 version 180. installed 07/23/18 os build 17134.228


I guess my questions are these. How do I unstall the Xbox update of 08/30/18? Or what settings should the not used Xbox be?

NESHTA.A VIRUS REMOVED BUT .EXE NOT WORKING

• Does this happen with a specific application or with all of your application?
• Have you tried creating a new admin account to check if the issue also with new account or only with the current account?

USB drive will not run exes.

I suggest you to run the program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persist.

• Right click on the “.exe” file of the program and select properties.
• Under Compatibility tab, check the option for “Run in Compatibility mode”.
• Select the Operating System from the drop down list.
• Click on Apply and OK.
