Windows 10: Auto crashing search bar

Hello.

Yes my new pc buy didnt fare so well as i hoped. The unstable internet is something that must be solved. It disconnects usually once per hour. But it is the browser (chrome) which is noticing this first. Downloads with torrents and other software can go unaffected, but they are affected too. So it is not cables and modem, but the pc. Also folders collapse without notice, and my winamp player freezes regularly but do not crash. However, I think i found a solution online for the unstable internet : go to Device manager - adapter - power management, which i wanted to try. But there was no option of adjusting power management as there was no such thing there.

That is a known problem i found out, and it is solved by regedit. I have not used it or cmd before, but thought once must be the first time.

But then my windows search bar went blank, and any requests was met with no response.

I read something and got to a place where i rebuild indexing. It took long time and didnt cure the search bar. Next good advice i found was Task manager. End: search ui.exe. Well i found search mentioned there, and right it had crashed and were using a lot of cpu so that looked like something that should be restarted.

And so it did, immediately, to just grab cpu power and not work with the search bar. So i restarted the pc, and full stop before restart again, and the problem maintained. Some conflict is there, making search go mad upon start. A chronic crasher.

Yes I admit I ran a windows10 debloater when i first got the pc, but it is three weeks ago , and search worked fine until last night. There might have a few settings i have adjusted in search of possible solutions of the unstable internet, like the adapters, and probably some no settings for the rest of Cortana.

And now i don't know what to do, to solve this. Some say it might be the windows defender. But i cant get there without the search bar, unless it is the same as windows security.

So i hope i could get some ideas. About the ever crashing search bar.

IE11 Google Toolbar no auto search suggestions, no search history?

Since the last Win 10 update my Google Toolbar won't list any search suggestions as I type and there is no search history listed. The Google tool bar will allow a search, but after a few searches no search history shows and no "clear search" button is listed either.

I have turnd on "Suggest searches as you type", and "store search histroy on my computer" in the Google Toolbar options.

Any suggestions to fix this?

From the description, I understand that you are still receiving the pop up notifications, despite having disabled the search functionality in windows 10.

Steps to disable the Search Bar

• Right click on the task bar.
• Select the "Search" option.
• Select "Disable."

However, if the above steps don't work out, perform the below suggested steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Open a CMD window started as Administrator.

Repair corruption: Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth.

Run this command next: Sfc /scannow

Now run these two commands:

PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
