Windows 10: Automatic forwarding in free Yahoo Mail to be discontinued

Beginning January 1, 2021, automatic forwarding of emails from your Yahoo inbox to a third party email account will no longer be a feature of free Yahoo Mail accounts. Upgrade to Yahoo Mail Pro or subscribe to Access + Forwarding to use the auto forwarding feature at this time....

...If your free Yahoo Mail account is set up to automatically forward emails to a third party inbox such as Gmail, those emails will stop being delivered to the third party address on January 1, 2021. Youâll still be able to view your emails in your Yahoo mailbox through your web browser at mail.yahoo.com or via the Yahoo Mail apps. Yahoo Mail Pro subscribers will not be affected by this change.

Yahoo turns off NEW mail forwards

This story showed up on ZDnet this morning, explaining Yahoo's recent move to block email auto-forwarding:

Yahoo has disabled automatic email forwarding from one account to another, making it difficult for users wishing to switch providers following recent hacking revelations.
As first reported by the Associated Press, the tech giant has "temporarily" stopped users from turning on automatic email forwarding to new, external addresses.
Setting up automatic forwarding is a common practice for users who either use more than one email address or want to make the transition to a new provider. By disabling this feature, Yahoo has put up a roadblock which makes moving to a new email provider difficult.
Yahoo's advisory reads:
"This feature is under development. While we work to improve it, we've temporarily disabled the ability to turn on Mail Forwarding for new forwarding addresses.

If you've already enabled Mail Forwarding in the past, your email will continue to forward to the address you previously configured."

Forwarding Yahoo Email on Android Phone?

I thought the folders were saved on the mail server, because when I check my mail from home or other PCs the folders are still there. I used the info in step 1 of this page to setup my mail, should I not have done that?
