    Automatic highlighting

I can be typing an email, Word document, etc. - and all of a sudden an entire paragraph gets highlighted and before I notice, my next key to be typed (I am a very fast typist) acts as a delete button for what was highlighted. Poof! It is all gone! Numerous, numerous times and it is so doggone frustrating!!!! HELP!!! Is there a setting somewhere that I can turn off so this quits happening???

    :)

    Vista Automatic Updating Error

    Resolution Suggestion:

    # To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

    1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

    3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

    4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

    6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

    7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

How to turn off automatic green highlighting in Onenote Mobile

    Hi,

The green highlighting is showing you the content that you added from the device that you haven't read on the computer. You can go to Share > Mark as Read and uncheck "Show unread Changes in this Notebook". Or you can also try the steps below:

    • Click the "Tools" drop-down menu from the top of OneNote.
    • To change to a regular style pen, select "Writing Tools" and then "Pens." Then select the pen you'd like to use.
    • To change to keyboard text, select "Writing Tools," and then select "Type/Selection Tool."
Let us know how it goes.
