    Automating Password sign in

Using the "Netplwiz" in the Run box, I was able to automate the sign in password upon initially booting up my machine. When I first start up my machine, it immediately goes to my desktop without asking for the password. So far, so good.

But when I put the computer to sleep and later wake it up, it asks for the password and won't return to the screen I left unless I put it in. Any suggestions?

    :)

do i need to a password or pin to log in all the time

If you have no security reason to sign in every time, you can automate sign in. Open the Run box, type

control userpasswords2 and uncheck Users must sign in..... Then put in your password and OK it. This is more convenient than using a Local Account. Some features in win 10--using the Store and others require signing in with a MS
    Acct.

DON'T WANT TO SIGN IN WITH MY MS ACCOUNT EVERY TIME I USE THE COMPUTER

    • Run C:\Windows\System32\Netplwiz.exe then select your user account and clear the checkbox for
users must sign in with a password.
    • Then just confirm it [it asks for your password once or twice] and you will not have to sign in when you start or restart your computer.

Check that you have your password written down somewhere handy yet secure from prying eyes & loss.

You will log into your account automatically and will have the same access as you have now - the only change is the automation.
