Windows 10: Avira icon on system tray not showing

i have the latest 27oct vers of avira but for me nothing has changed
and for you?

We'd love to help but, as already explained by @View Profile: Barman58 - Windows 10 Help Forums:

Sorry about that -- I'm sure you're frustrated, but we do not work for Avira.
If this problem is a deal-breaker for you, perhaps consider cleanly removing Avira (using their removal tool) and installing a different AV?

Some services depend on other services, system drivers, or load order groups. If a system component stopped, or is not running properly, dependent services can be affected.

In Services, double click on the Avira.ServiceHost service and select the Dependencies tab.

Expand all the [+] to the left of the listed components, and see what the status is for each on the main list of Services.

Any dependency not working?

 

I had a similar problem with with another program. My solution was to completely uninstall the program using Control Panel > Programs and Features. After that I looked for and deleted named folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86). Finally I used the Registry Editor to search for the program name and delete all references. (Note: suggest making a restore point before deleting things from the registry.) Once I did all of that I reinstalled a fresh copy of the software and everything worked fine. I can only think that something about Windows 10 (perhaps one of the forced updates) damaged or corrupted the Avira.

i've just unistalled and do the exact procedure suggested by marsmimar..but did really not solve

Is this issue happening with the free version of Avira, as well as the paid version?

I had the same issue with Avira (free ed.) for 2-3 weeks now.
After trying almost everything, yesterday as THE last option (I've even thought to move to another AV!) I've installed Avira Connect (i.e. avira_en_av_3002336296__wsd.exe or avira_en_avprodl_3002827605__wsd.exe) posted here and the icon it's back where it belongs! In task manager the process for that Connect thing it's Avira.SystrayStartTrigger.exe.
Maybe this would help u too.

Disregard my previous post! After 4-5 reboots and a couple of hours, the icon is missing again! Tired of it! Uninstalled Avira! Will give a try on Kaspersky or BitDefender.
