Avoid / get rid of remainings on the screen

Sometimes there are left remainings (not accessible with the mouse or else) on the monitor in front of all programs:

How could I avoid such and get rid (without shutting down the Notebook) of it?

    :)

How do you get rid of the Welcome screen on Windows 10?

All I know is I have all the same things loading now as I had with 8.1 and it was faster. When 8.1 booted up it went directly to desktop and was ready to use. The only thing that changed was Windows 10, and it seems that now with every update it gets slower.

To get rid of it try to refresh screen (F5).

    Thank you, CountMike,

You mean refresh (the view of) a (what) program? It does not help.

    Many thanks again

No, but a refresh of desktop, There's also Refresh option in the right click menu on desktop. Things like that (ghosting) is usually due to corrupt GPU memory so updating GPU driver may help too.

It does not help pressing F5 when the desktop is in front.

I cannot find any in the context menu, but I assume, it will have the same effect as pressing F5.

It appears to be up to date:

Is there a way to find out if the GPU memory is corrupted?

Try running a Clean Boot, if that works, then add one service or startup item, rebooting each time until the computer starts Ghosting again. Then you will know the troubled program.

    Thank you very much, spunk.

I do not know under what circumstances "Ghosting" appears (for example, may be there is a connection to the workload and it will appear only with a high workload or so) and it appears once a week or so. And to use the Notebook in that mode after such a clean boot over weeks / months might be quit envonvenient. So this method might be extremely hard to use.

    Many thanks again
