Windows 10: Awake from sleep gets distorted display -

I have a lenovo T470p dual boot Win10 v2004 and Win8.1 recently created dual boot. When system awakes from sleep(reopening the laptop screen) the display is multi colors with horizontal lines. This has only started after creating the dual boot. It take several hard restarts for the issue to clear.

Windows 10 sleep

I'd already tried using default power settings - no change.

As you suggested I created a test user account, that also fails to awake from sleep..

Thanks for your advice, any suggestions for next steps?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Click on Start>Settings>System.
• In the left navigation pane, click on Power & sleep.
• In the right pane, select the time limit for the system to go to sleep from the drop down list.
