    Hi,

I've clean installed 1803 x64 Pro, 4 times (last was official), with the same result:
on Settings/Privacy-->Background Apps are always ON, after a logout, shutdown or restart.

Only using "gpedit", "Background Apps" remain OFF (or it seems so).

Also, there is a mess on the background apps list...appearing and disappearing...

P S: I think, this happens only in Pro edition.

    :)

  3. Mouse always appear background running state when I recently upgrade to win10 1709

After the twice-yearly major updates like 1709 (which means "2017, September") and the upcoming 1803 update that you will get soon (which means "2018, March"), the system will work for several more days doing background work. I usually recommend that
you leave your power settings to "do not sleep" so it can finish this background work.

  5. Hi werby.

Please check out this post in the Windows 10 April 2018 update thread.

Seems this is a known problem and if I'm reading right we get a fix on May 8th.

Who knows maybe sooner if the volume exceeds bearable limits. ( and as we know MS can bear a lot.)

Windows 10 April 2018 Update now available Monday, April 30
