    Backup and Restore Windows 7 in Control Panel doesn't recognize USB HDD after Feature...


    Backup and Restore Windows 7 in Control Panel doesn't recognize USB HDD after Feature update to Windows 10 version 2004. Backup and Restore gives he message that it can't find a drive to backup to when I have the USB HDD plugged in which I've been using for backup with this program. File Explorer sees the USB HDD after the update,.


    Computer: Asus i7 16GB DRAM 512GB SSD 2TB HDD 4k touch screen

    USB HDD: 3TB 2.5" Toshiba external USB 3.0

    Backup and Restore Windows 7 file in Control Panel

    A file called "Backup and Restore Windows 7" is listed in my Control Panel. Is it safe to delete this file? If so, how can I safely delete it?

    Why doesn't Microsoft remove Backup and Restore (windows 7) in Control Panel as Windows 7 will be expired soon on January 2020?

    As windows 10 is reliable and secure OS on the Planet. But, Why Microsoft not remove Backup and Restore (Windows 7) Feature in Control Panel? Soon, Win 7 will be expired on January 2020.

    Therefore, I suggest Microsoft to remove and delete Backup and Restore (Windows 7) Feature in Control Panel. I hope Microsoft will do it by removing this backup and restore (Windows 7) in next version of Windows 10 Version 1909 (19H2).

    Please remove this annoying and unpleasant feature out of Control Panel as Windows 10 is reliable with more Users in the globe continue to use Win 10.

    This is for everyone. Windows 10 has another type of backup called file history which saves your files to an external device. The reason of providing the same backup and restore feature that was available in windows 7+8 in windows 10 was because tons of
    people migrated from windows 7/8 to 10 during the free offer and if this feature was a sort of depracated then the users would have lost their backups.

    So the control panel refers to windows 7 type backup and restore.
