Windows 10: Backup customized console layout?

Discus and support Backup customized console layout? in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; Hi! I always like to change the default layout of PowerShell to let it more like cmd, but everytime I change computer I have to reconfigure it again....     Hi!

    I always like to change the default layout of PowerShell to let it more like cmd, but everytime I change computer I have to reconfigure it again. Is there a way to customize and backup/restore that?

    I have tried to backup registry keys before (HKCU\Console) but it changed nothing...

    Any ideas?

    Icons Layout Backup


    Hi! I wonder if there is a way or a program that allows to save the desktop icons positions and layout. I don't mean that I have an issue with icons not preserving their position after a reboot, I mean I would like to have a backup in order to restore my layout quickly, for example after restoring the icon cache ecc...

    I remember that, in the XP times, there was a dll (well, two: one for saving and one for restoring). Any suggestion? Backup customized console layout? :)

    How to backup Windows 10 start menu layout?

    From this link: Backup and Restore Start Layout in Windows 10

    1. Back up registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\CloudStore\Store\Cache\DefaultAccount
    2. Back up file %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\DefaultLayouts.xml

    To restore:

    1. (Mess with registry at your own risk) Delete registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\CloudStore\Store\Cache\DefaultAccount (you cannot omit this step)
    2. Merge registry key backed up in steps above.
    3. Restore DefaultLayouts.xml file backed up in above steps, overwriting current %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\DefaultLayouts.xml
    4. Sign out of Windows and sign back in again.

    How to backup Windows 10 start menu layout?

    I have 3 Windows 10 devices and I wanna backup and import start menu layout on each device as Windows 10 isn't supporting layout syncing.

    Most of the solutions I've found are for Windows 8 only.

    One site showed me a way to export the layout by using this command:

    but nothing about how to import it!

    I tried steps mentioned in this article and both of them shows me this error
