Windows 10: Backup Discs

Whenever I have purchased a computer which were always Hewlett Packard, I was able to order a set of CD's loaded with the initial packages of what was on the pc. Seems now a days nobody can explain where you can order these, do to everything being Microsoft. So who do I contact to get a complete set of discs, with the software that was loaded on the computer I purchased. Anywhere?

We understand that you want to back up your files on your DVD. At this point, we suggest that you try these steps so you can create a backup of it:

• Open the folder that contains the files that you want to back up.
• Select the files to be moved on the DVD disc inserted.
• Click Share on the tab section of the window.
• Click Burn to disc to transfer it to the DVD disc.

In case these steps didn't work, kindly consult your manufacturer so they could recommend a software compatible for your computer to burn your files on your DVD.

Disc for windows 7 to run on windows 10

I suggest you to follow the below steps to read the Windows 7 disc and check if it helps.

• Insert Windows 7 disc.
• Press “Windows+E” which will open file explorer.
• There you will find the Windows 7 disc.
• Open the disc and copy the files anywhere on your computer, so that you can access the information from the disc.

• What is the make and model?
• Have you installed all the pending updates?
• Have you made any recent changes prior to this issue?
• Are you facing this issue with the particular DVD or others also?

I suggest you to refer to the below given methods and check if issue is resolved.

Method: 1

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices
troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
• Check if issue persists.

Method: 2

Check if the DVD drive is getting detected in Disk Management

Refer the steps below to open disc management:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click on Disk Management.
• Click on Actions and click on
  rescan disks and click on Refresh and check if issue persists.
