Windows 10: Bad Quality Audio since upgrading to Windows 10

Hi, I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8 on Monday and ever since the audio quality has become weak and quite metallic sounding, like an old radio. I've tried updating my drivers and troubleshooting for any audio problems, but it's saying my drivers are up to date and no problems are being detected regarding the audio.



I'm unsure what to do from here and hope someone will be able to help. I've seen other people having audio problems in Windows 10 and the solutions provided to them have been unsuccessful for me.

  Windows Audio and set its Startup Type to
  Automatic.
  

If the Windows Audio service does not start and you get the error
Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start, then make sure that the following services are started and their
Startup Type is set to Automatic.

Method 3: I recommend you to install all the pending updates on your device and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Realtek HD Audio low and bad quality sound after Windows 10 upgrade

I am using Sony Vaio laptop. Yesterday I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.

After upgrading, the sound quality of Realtek HD Audio has become very bad and extremely low. There is no bass and the sound is distorted and screeching. I have tried updating the Realtek driver but that didn't change anything.

How can I fix my Realtek HD Audio after upgrading to Windows 10?
