Windows 10: Bad system config

A while back I setup a restore point on my usb and selected the option where it would make a new one to to replace the old one every hour because i thought it would be useful. After installing the latest windows 10 update the next day my laptop starting slowing down severely despite having nothing running so i decided to restart it to see if it would fix the issue. After the restart my laptop looked to be stuck in a boot up loop where the big green Acer was on the screen with the dotted circle still loading for hours. I tried factory resetting my laptop but it didnt fix the issue. I tried using system restore but I get the message "No restore points have been created on your computer's system drive. To create a restore point open system protection". After doing another factory reset I eventually got a blue screen on boot up saying bad system configuration.

Hi John,

Thanks so much for your suggestion. Sadly, the fixes did not work, and I'm still getting "bad system config info."

MS support is still not honoring phone calls reserved in advance/promises to call back in a few minutes-- must say I'm disappointed.

Any further ideas?

Bad system config info and failure to launch windows 10

Windows 10 on a Dell XPS about 1.5 yrs old

turned machine on and got the Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart; bad system config info.

Went through the multiple suggestions to fix, repair or restore but none of them were successful. Seemed to get a consistent response that a problem was encountered and therefore no the problem couldn’t be resolved.

Under troubleshoot attempted the prompt command option. The message under the Microsoft Windows [version 10.0.17134.1] said not enough resources available to process this command.

I found a video on youtube to address the bad system config info issue and followed the steps as presented.

After going through that process my system still won’t boot up.

there apprared to be enough free space on C.

Bad system config info Windows 10

After i upgrade to W10, on a Toshiba Sattellite, L845 SP202, i5 4 gb RAM, i had no sound...

Then, when i restarted, it shows a blue screen with the Bad system config info...

I tried every step the system adviced, but nothing seems to work...

Not even go back to W7
