Windows 10: bad_pool_header after latest windows 10 updates

After the windows 10 update was installed today on my machine, I keep getting the bad_pool_header error message. I have tried to do all the options (except a system restore) & it keeps going back to the same error message.

I am currently running a start-scan, but am unsure if that will fix the problem.

Since upgrading to windows 10, start up freezes every 1 in 10 sessions. To which I remove the battery and then wait a while and then run a start up scan and that seems to fix it.

Is there anything I can do instead of a system restore? Unfortunately my last backup failed & I'm currently working in a country where the internet is terrible so this would be my last resort.

Intel (R) 5 Sries Chipset Family USB Universal Host Controller 3B36. Probleme with Windows 10 on Boot Camp on iMac 11,3

1.- I have OS X 10.9.5, Boot Camp and Windows 10.

2.- The BAD_POOL_HEADER error appears when the computer starts, approximately 30 seconds after I see the desktop.

I think that BAD_POOL_HEADER error is caused by the USB conectors where the mouse is connected. The computer does not control the mouse well. If the cursor disappears in the first screens after startup, the BAD_POOL_HEADER error appears in the first 30 seconds
of the desktop screen. I tried several mice, valid for Windows 10, and the error is not resolved.

3.- I have made only two change: update Windows 7 and install Windows 10.

 

Win 10 upgrade from mac book pro (bootcamp) Bad_Pool_Header crash

Finally upgrade to windows 10 from windows 7 on my macbook pro running bootcamp.

Before I upgrade, I made sure to have osx side updates updated, and then on windows side had apple software update updated to latest.

I immediately got Bad_Pool_Header on first startup after installation. I do not get Bad_Pool_Header in safe mode.

Steps I have taken to determine the driver causing issues.

• Uninstalled any software that I didn't need anymore or was old and I thought might be causing issues. (I didn't have malware bytes or anti virus except microsoft security essentials (windows defender))
• I did a clean boot following some instructions on this site and still got Bad_Pool_Header referencing ntoskrnl.exe
• I ran verifier and was able to get a driver_verification_detected_violation referencing HECIx64.sys. It also lists ntoskrnl.exe
• Currently going to try a Hardware Clean Boot by disabling hardware adapters and trying to reboot.
