Windows 10: Bang Olufsen Speakers stopped working on HP Spectre 15

Tried updating audio drivers etc nothing is working. worked fine last night and stopped working this am. bluetooth audio works w headset.


laptop is 18 months old..so out of warranty. I have been using audio non-stop. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

HP x360 Spectre Windows Hello No Longer Working

Thanks for the suggestion. For reference (for people coming after me trying to find a solution), the steps Lee is suggesting are as follows:

• Device Security > Security Processor Details > Security Processor Troubleshooting > Clear TPM

Appreciate the help, Lee, but resetting the TPM using the process above didn't work. All it did was make me reset my PIN and sign in again via my Microsoft account. As I mentioned in my initial post, I have an HP Spectre
x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx, so I've been using the drivers found here:

Also as I mentioned, the latest drivers are installed - that's always my first go-to solution (other than turning it off and on again! ).

Any other suggestions?

I don't understand the problem.

The audio hardware in the PC is Realtek. The Bang & Olufsen player part is software; I believe that it doesn't involve any special hardware or drivers.

Is the Bang & Olufsen software still installed? It appears to not be available for download. (No surprise there.) If it's gone, I don't know how easy it'll be to get it back. I suggest that you contact HP support. I fear that they'll suggest something wonderful like a factory restore.

 

Crackling sound in hp x360 spectre 13inches 14k with BANG & OLUFSEN

Hello Everybody,

I just bought this laptop and from day 3 i am facing this problem of a crackling sound from the left speaker. i also contacted the hp support and the remotely controlled my laptop and uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, and also updated the BIOS and i also
tried disabling the cache and also tried disabling the audio enhancement and everything that i could find on the internet forums. Nothing helped as a permanent solution. The solutions are intermittent and so is the problem. Such a bad thing, a buzzkill. This
HP's premier laptop is having this problem which even has the top branded speakers installed in it. So depressed with this issue. Anybody please help me solve it.
