    video editing software

    Basically, I have a video in .mp4 format that I need to edit. I've never really did any video editing before so I am looking for a basic program that is easy to use that I can cut some stuff out from the video with, and maybe shrink the video down.

    Can anyone help me out with some program suggestions?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Suggestions for decent free basic video editing software please

    I've recorded a short video with my smartphone which I need to chop off the beginning and end of and nothing more, before submitting it. I don't normally do any video editing, so something basic and free would do me for this one task.
    I know I could google for it, but I'd rather have the suggestions from our great TPU community. *Toast :toast:
