Windows 10: Battery Information shown on Battery icon (when put on top of battery icon with mouse...

I am using a Dell Inspiron 13 5000 series 5 379 model. I have terrible problem withe the battery here. When I put my mouse cursor on the battery icon, it shows 88% battery left. When I clicked the battery icon, it then shown 87% instead!!! When I clicked away, and put mouse cursor on battery icon agian, it still shows 88% battery and again when clicked on the battery icon, it shown 87%! PS. I NEVER LIE IN THIS MATTER. I DONE THIS AT THE SAME TIME AND...omg


ND WHICH ONE WRONG???? I REALLY NEED ASSISTANT!

• Which update affect the battery icon? Is it a security update, feature update, or a major upgrade?
• Have you done any troubleshooting steps?

Battery Notifiction Icon

Hi Jessica,

Missing battery icon may be caused by an incorrect configuration of the settings. You may follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

Method 1:

• Open Task Manager > Click More details.
• On the Processes tab, find and select Windows Explorer.
• Click Restart on the lower right.
• After the Windows Explorer process has been restarted, check the notification area on the taskbar and see if the battery icon is visible.

Method 2:

• Type Turn system icons on or off in the search box then hit
  Enter.
• Toggle Power to On and check if the battery icon appear.

Battery icon problems on tablet


Hi,

I have a small Windows tablet which I upgraded to Creators Update by doing a fresh install. I had copies of drivers and reinstalled all of them. The only issue is the battery icon.

It shows up in the taskbar, but appears 'empty'. Tap / click on it and the text says '100%' all the time. It doesn't change if plugged in or not. The screen brightness part does work, as does 'battery saver'. It seems it just isn't getting the battery level data.

I already tried disabling and enabling both AC adapter items in Device Manager with no effect. Apart from the icon vanishing and reappearing after a reboot.

There are a couple of Power management items relating to the Intel chipset, also no effect when uninstalled and reinstalled.

I tried enabling the 'old' battery flyout and it shows 'unknown remaining'.

All suggestions are welcome!
