Windows 10: Battery not detected (Unknown remaining)

I'm having battery problems on my Sager NP8372. First, the battery icon on the taskbar suddenly switches back and forth from the default battery icon to “no battery detected” icon and changes my brightness setting. It just happens intermittently, and I don’t know what triggers it. Second, when I charge the battery, even though the battery is not yet full, it jumps from charging to fully charged after just a short period of time charging.


I did a bit of research. I found out that it may be due to outdated system drivers (BIOS, Chipset, Hotkey, etc...) being incompatible with the latest version of Windows 10, or it may be hardware-related such as defective battery or charger. I attached pictures of my most current battery report. What might really be causing this and what will be my next course of action to solve this issue?

Battery not detected (unknown remaining)

At first my battery indicator used to stuck up at some random number and did not use to change at both while charging or discharging.

I tried to reset the pc a few times and now it can't detect my battery................while charging it shows "plugged in and charging" and at 100% always............and while discharging it shows "unknown remaining" and 100% and turn off suddenly when its
battery gets completely discharged.

please help me.

So I updated today Windows 10 (KB3213986), and now my battery either displays an empty Icon saying "Unknown remaining" or "No battery is detected". BIOS is up to date as well. Anyone else has this issue? Any idea how to solve it?

The battery still works when the laptop is unplugged but it shows the "unknown remaining".

No Battery Is Detected error on ASUS Laptop


In fact I just disconnected it now and the battery icon changed to a battery icon, mosueover saying 'Unknown remaining'. If I click the battery icon it says 100% battery but also 'calculating'. So it IS able to run on battery in some respect.
