  1. Battery Percentage Error & Advise On Upgrading To Insider Preview

Hello. I would like to clarify 2 questions.

Firstly, regarding my battery percentage issue. For the past few years including this year, my laptop has been running on AC power as the battery that came with this laptop no longer charges. Before the November 2019 update was installed on my laptop, whenever I hover on to the battery icon it will show a mini pop-up that says "No battery is detected". After I've installed the update, whenever I hover on the battery icon, it will show a mini pop-up that says "255% available Plugged in" [as shown below]. Is there a way to rectify this issue?

Secondly, I am currently using an Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820T laptop. I am planning to upgrade my existing laptop running Windows 10 version 1909, to Version 2004 via Windows Insider Preview. With the specifications given below, is it recommended for me to upgrade to the Windows Insider Preview Windows 10 Version 2004?

  2. Battery Percentage Windows 10

It makes no sense to not have a battery percentage indicator on mouseover. Clicking on the icon to see the percentage leftover is an extra step I'd rather not take.

  3. Battery jumps to RANDOM percentages while on charge

    Hi Nathan,

For us to isolate your laptop percentage battery issue, we would like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?
    • Are you getting any error messages? If yes, what is the exact error message?
    • Is this the first time you experienced the issue?
    • To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We look forward to your response.
